Hello there!
This September we are going to be filling the blog with lots of fun posts on art, style and food with a number of posts by contributors, and a couple of mini interviews thrown in for good measure.

Nunhead Art Trail
Visit local artists and crafts people in and around Nunhead, and see their works of art in situ in their homes and studios. I am particularly excited to see Kat Flint's beautiful hand printed linocuts, Louisa Loakes' amazing textiles, and the intriguing sculptures and designs by William Waterhouse.
23rd & 24th September

Piccolo Plates
So this is actually for the smaller people in your life - Piccolo Plates delivers homemade, child friendly, delicious and nutritious dishes straight to your door. Very handy and quite perfect (if only they did them for adults too 😉).
Indulging
Brownies-by-Bike
Alice Parsons delivers her homemade brownies and cookies on her bicycle straight to your door first thing in the morning, anywhere in South West London. They are unbelievably good, she has her recipe down to a T, and they come in boxes with ribbons, so if you aren't cheekily treating yourself, they also make a great pick-me-up present.

Studio British launch their capsule collection online this September. Working with skilled clothing manufactures, the collection features wearable, functional and timeless pieces all made in Britain, brands include Yull Shoes, Baia Bags and Johnstons of Elgin.

Sophie Cochevelou
Sophie Cochevelou is a French fashion designer who studied at Central St Martins and now lives and works in East London. Her handmade accessories are the most fabulous and most extraordinary creations - earrings made out of barbie shoes, dinosaur tassel earrings and I secretly want her Memento Mori headpiece. Her lego cufflinks are also a great present.
Reading
The Secret Lives of Colour
This book, written by Kassia St Clair, is hugely enjoyable and delves into the, often mysterious, histories and hearsay of an array of wonderful colours. From Isabelline to Orange, Mountbatten Pink to Prussian Blue, there is lots to learn and lots to enjoy.
Watching
Little Bird
View Little Bird at the Aesthetica Short Film Festival this November (it's in York, so it's good to plan early 😘). This film short, directed by Georgia Oakley, features Imelda Staunton and Emily Taaffe. The story is set in London during the war, and explores how far one young woman will go to create a new life, and what she is willing to leave behind.

Set up by two mothers Alice and Mary, these premium subscription boxes are aimed at pregnant and new mothers. Filled with all sorts of natural and wholesome products, perfect for a little pampering, they cater towards the potential needs mothers may experience during pregnancy. Really wonderful as a gift.

Will makes beautiful ceramics, and his blog is a collection of his work, including drawings and other things he is inspired by. Follow his journey for insights into his ceramic making processes ,and his thoughts on art and architecture in and around London.

The Free Company
The Free Company, set up by three friends, describes itself as a 'Scottish multidisciplinary design house', based in Balerno, at the foot of the Pentland hills. Most importantly they hold events, and are currently hosting a series of dinners by guest chefs, who are each creating their own, locally sourced and seasonal, Scottish menus. Take a trip to Cockdurno Farm for a truly Scotch experience (with a little bit of edgey jargon thrown in 😉).
