I am not actually going to write about all my housemates π¦π§π¦π© annoying habits (yet), partly because I fear they might retaliate π³π. Β The thing is, living in a house of 4 (5 including the rabbit π°) there is always going to be one chore / task / thing to be done, that one person sees as the main priority, and others wouldn't have even noticed if it hadn't been pointed out.... leaving dirty mugs (actually dirty anything) in the kitchen sink βοΈπ / the position of Bumble's hutch (poor Bumble doesn't get much chance to defend himself) π° / eating and drinking things from the fridge and not replacing them π«ππΆπ°/ never clearing the draining board π΄π§/ leaving all the lights onΒ π‘π‘π‘/ the weekly parking space debacle (three cars, two spaces) πππ / not so clean showers and baths π / putting items in the dishwasher that don't enjoy spending time in there πΈπ΄ ... Β I will leave you to put the housemate to the habit / the person who gets most vexed by each situation Β π ππ and there are many many more, and I am far far from innocent π.However, on the whole, Β we really do seem to be getting on just fine, and even like to spend time together on a regular basis. We decided to have a night out altogether πΉπ», a bit of quality bonding time. Β I chose Gremio de Brixton (it's someone else's turn next time) as I liked the idea that it does everything - food (tapas) π, drinks πΉand dancing π. Β No need for moving anywhere after dinner and no queuing. So off we went to Brixton to enjoy our night out π¬π. Β I am going to have to admit that the most exciting thing about this place was that it is located in the crypt of a church βͺοΈ(this is quite cool). Β We ate some not very exciting tapas π and drank sangria π·- it is nothing to shout about, but did the job (the waiter definitely thought we were on a double dateππ). Β And then we queued at the bar, got a cocktail and found a seat. Β The music was a bit loud π€π (perhaps we're old) or it's just that time in the evening when it's still a bar, not quite a nightclub - there was even a man actually playing a saxophone π·. What I would say about Gremio is that it definitely attracting people looking for a cheapish night out in Brixton - you could come late, get a couple of beers π» in and I bet the party gets fairly rowdy π. Β I am SO over queuing at bars for drinks - when I did finally get to the front and asked for a cocktail πΉ, the girl behind the bar gave me that look of 'you can't actually be serious?'... she did make it, but it was mainly ice. Β So what I would say is that the idea is nice. Β I think if you were looking for a venue for a work night out it would be good. Β But it wasn't the best. The important thing was that we had a lovely time π- Tom was feeling slightly worse for wear and gallantly made it through the evening, and I had to get up at 7am the next morning - but we enjoyed ourselves greatly π«.Alice xxx
