A Weekend in London

I can get a little despondent ๐Ÿ˜” about living in London – the pollution๐Ÿ˜ท, the packed tubes๐Ÿšƒ, the traffic ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿš•๐Ÿš™, the people EVERYWHERE๐Ÿ‘ท๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿ’ป๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿณ๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿผโ€๐Ÿ”ง๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿฝโ€๐Ÿ’ผ๐Ÿ‘ธ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿปโ€โœˆ๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ฐ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€โš–๏ธ๐Ÿ™†๐Ÿป๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ – it can all be a little bit too much sometimes.

But I also love that there is so much to do ๐ŸŽญ๐ŸŽจ๐ŸŽป๐ŸŽง๐Ÿšด๐Ÿป๐ŸŽฏ๐Ÿฅ‚๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿปand so many new things to discover and places to explore ๐Ÿ—บ – I am constantly curious, and love trying out new things๐Ÿ’๐Ÿป.

And I am a firm believer that if you live in London๐ŸŽก, for however long, you must use it to it’s full potential – it is all too easy to go to work ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿ’ปand back again๐Ÿก and miss out on all the exciting things happening๐Ÿธโ˜•๏ธ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿ‘—๐ŸŽจ๐ŸŽญ๐ŸŽช.

The summer โ˜€๏ธโ˜€๏ธโ˜€๏ธis the perfect time to get out and do things, so below I have found 5 things you should do if you are in London ๐ŸŽก this weekend.

Alice xxx ๐Ÿ’•

Visit the Pear Tree Cafe and have a Jude’s Ice Cream

This beautiful cafe ๐Ÿtucked away in Battersea Park serves delicious ice cream ๐Ÿงby Jude’s – the black coconut is the one you want to try, it’s very yummy indeed. They also do a great brunch (try the smashed avocado๐Ÿฅ‘), and are open in the evening for drinks ๐Ÿฅ‚ with a fun outdoor area right next to the boating lake๐Ÿšฃ๐Ÿป. Absolutely worth a visit.

See a film on top of the Bussey Building

Sit outdoors on the roof of the Bussey Building in deckchairs and enjoy a beautiful sunset๐ŸŒ….  Once the sun is down the film๐ŸŽฅ begins, itโ€™s all very modern with wireless headphones๐ŸŽง and most importantly they provide blankets.  There is also a bar at the top and, and you can take drinks ๐Ÿน๐Ÿฟin, and Peckham itself is just a vibrantly fun place to visit ๐Ÿป. This weekend they are showing The Nice Guys ๐Ÿ•บ๐Ÿ•บ and La La Land ๐Ÿ’ƒ โ€“ maybe go twice and spend two evenings with Ryan Gosling๐Ÿ˜˜.

Go and see Kiss Me at Trafalgar Studios

Claire Lams and Ben Lloyd-Hughes star โญ๏ธ๐ŸŽญ in Kiss Me ๐Ÿ’ by Richard Bean (you’ll know him from One Man, Two Guvnors) a love story ๐Ÿ’”set against the shifting world of London post World War 1.  Itโ€™s 75 minutes of    pure enjoyment ๐Ÿ˜ƒ (although maybe not first date material) with time for dinner and drinks after too, try Sticks’n’Sushi in Covent Garden ๐Ÿฃ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป.

Have Afternoon Tea at Flemingโ€™s Mayfair

I love afternoon tea ๐Ÿฅ‚๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿญโ˜•๏ธ๐Ÿฉand am always on the hunt for a new one. The dรฉcor in the Drawing Room of this hotel is very beautiful, Iโ€™m slightly obsessed with their teal sofas and chairs๐Ÿ’š and I really love the murals on the walls๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿ˜.  An excellent tea in beautiful surroundings ๐Ÿ˜ƒ.

Experience LOOP with BoxLess Physical Theatre

Tucked away in the attic theatre ๐ŸŽญ at N16, this fun-loving play is a journey through 50 years of love ๐Ÿ’˜and music ๐ŸŽถ . A superbly entertaining evening with a score of classic old school tunes ๐ŸŽค๐ŸŽผand laugh out loud moments, LOOP will put you in the perfect mood for a night out on the town๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ•บ. Check out The Exhibit in Balham for drinks  ๐Ÿปafter.
